How do i set up a password when i turn on the computer?

I just want to know how to set up a password like a main password. Like when your turn on the computer you need a password to log in and get to the accounts. I am on a Windows Vista Home Premium.How do i set up a password when i turn on the computer?
easy.


go to control pannel


then click security click set up parental controls and you can make a administrative password and control when certian users can use comp and many more thingsHow do i set up a password when i turn on the computer?
go to menu on the bottom left, there should be the icon picture for your home screen click on that, if thats not there click on control panel. user accounts and set password
Go to your Control Panel, then go to User Accounts. Here is where you can set a password for login. Make sure that you write the password down and put in your wallet. You will be surprised how many times people forget thier passwords.





I keep all my passwords on a Flash Drive plus a hard copy(printed) in my wallet.

when you turn on the computer, before windows even boots up you can set up a password by accessing the BIOS. thats the menu option that comes up before the operating system starts loading.
