According to some websites, I can see that computer viruses are created by human beings, Dr. Fred Cohen. Is he really a creator or discoverer? And How did he find out it? If it is true, how did he make virus spread to other computers all over the world?Are computer viruses really created by human beings?

How can a 15 year old be forced to go to school?
My brother is 15 years old and has been absent from school 17 times in the past 3 months. He stays up all night playing games online and in the mornings stays in bed. I've been told he's still awake playing games at 3 am and my mother and father both yell at him from 7:30 to about 9 am trying to get him to leave. He just stays in the house all day until the evenings when he logs back onto his computer.
My mom threatens to put his computer in storage but she and my dad never get their act together and DO it. Wait, no, they did it once but then they gave it back. Anyway, recently they tried to block his access to the internet. They even called up the ISP, but my brother's computer is the only one directly connected to the router so blocking it by changing the WEP password didn't work.
He is a big kid, he's looked like he's in his 20s since he was 13 and he's very tall and weighs about 180 or 190 lbs, so there's no way to physically force him out. My mother keeps ranting about calling the police or social services, and asking if there's some way somebody could come to our house to get him out or if there is some kind of program that can help. I believe you will find a lot of support in your community for acting in his best interests, also, since showing such visible support (and respect) for others seems to be so rare nowadays.
I hope you can both get legal support to help him, and that in the process, he is able to find whatever skills he needs to get out of his rut and back in the groove.

well here's the story; yesterday my computer was acting really slow, for example after i clicked something it would take a minute just to respond and then it would freeze on me. so i decided that i would restart the computer because that has worked in the past. when i did it would show the HP sign and then a few seconds later it would have a blank screen. about a few seconds after that it would say ';A Disk Read Error Occured. Press CTRL ALT DEL to restart.'; well everytime i'd press CTRL ALT DEL to restart it would just go back the same screen saying ';A Disk Read Error Occured. Press CTRL ALT DEL to restart.'; so i decided to press FLL for a system recovery and when i did it would go to a page that said ';windows loading files'; and it would have a loading bar under it. well everytime it went halfway (which only took about 10 seconds) it would just stop and after a few minutes of being stuck it used to restart the computer, but now it's just reloading the loading bar and getting stuck at halfway everytime.
i looked on other sites on how to fix the problem but to be honest, i really don't understand most of what they're saying. i'm good with technology, don't get me wrong, but i don't know barely any of the tech terms that they are talking about. so if you answer, could you use easier vocab with me? lol x)
any help would be great, i really need this computer right now, or well really soon. so please help me!

It sounds like you may have just had your hard drive die. If I were you, I'd take it to someone that knows computers. What's wrong with the computer and the means to fix it are generally beyond the scope of the average home user. don't worry my friend it is small problem. first check the hard disk conection.and insert the os pack2 cd %26amp; select the repair option it will repair the system files. it is the problem .dll thrash file deleted or corrupted by virus.ok please try it.
If I were you, I wouldn't try booting windows. It looks like your hard drive is failing. If you keep booting windows, it might write data on good sectrors of your hard drive too. I would suggest
1. Get a live CD of windows or Linux.
2. Backup your data. This is essential so that you know that you can do whaterver you want to do with your hard drive.
3. Try formatting the HDD ( only after ensuring that you have backed up all your data) and reinstalling everything.
If you want to rule out the possibility of a virus, you can try using programs like Clonezilla to take the backup of your entire partition. Clonezilla is linux based and any windows based virus won't affect it. If Clonezilla also complaints that it can't read, then it's your hard drive that's failing indeed
Firstly it sounds like you have a virus, so when you finish this I would run a full system virus check.
If you dont have an anti-virus installed then try AVG or Trend House Call (addresses below).
Unfortunaltey it sounds like you need to do a recovery. Firstly get you recovery disk or the install disk that came with your PC.
Insert the disk and let it boot from the CD.
Choose 'Recover PC' once you have chosen the keyboard layout etc. (it is in the bottom left when the 'Install Now' button comes up)
When you get teh options, firstly try a system start up recovery.
It is all automatic and doesnt take any input from you.
Once this is done it will restart.
If this does not work and you are still having problems, try 'System Restore' using the same method as the start up recovery but choose system restore.
If this does not work then you may have to re-install.
u can get disk read error for 2 reasons one is ur os files are corrupted or ur hard disk has hardware prob
first ensure der is no prob wid hd. then if possible reinstall the os and see.
if u don wanna reinstall then try using a good antivirus. it could also be a possible reason k.web design company skin growths

If I were you, I wouldn't try booting windows. It looks like your hard drive is failing. If you keep booting windows, it might write data on good sectrors of your hard drive too. I would suggest
1. Get a live CD of windows or Linux.
2. Backup your data. This is essential so that you know that you can do whaterver you want to do with your hard drive.
3. Try formatting the HDD ( only after ensuring that you have backed up all your data) and reinstalling everything.
If you want to rule out the possibility of a virus, you can try using programs like Clonezilla to take the backup of your entire partition. Clonezilla is linux based and any windows based virus won't affect it. If Clonezilla also complaints that it can't read, then it's your hard drive that's failing indeed
Firstly it sounds like you have a virus, so when you finish this I would run a full system virus check.
If you dont have an anti-virus installed then try AVG or Trend House Call (addresses below).
Unfortunaltey it sounds like you need to do a recovery. Firstly get you recovery disk or the install disk that came with your PC.
Insert the disk and let it boot from the CD.
Choose 'Recover PC' once you have chosen the keyboard layout etc. (it is in the bottom left when the 'Install Now' button comes up)
When you get teh options, firstly try a system start up recovery.
It is all automatic and doesnt take any input from you.
Once this is done it will restart.
If this does not work and you are still having problems, try 'System Restore' using the same method as the start up recovery but choose system restore.
If this does not work then you may have to re-install.

My suggestion is to buy a regular sized case or you are going to be severely limited in what you can buy. If you do decide to keep this case you will need a low profile video card but with such a limited space the airflow around the card could cause some troubles. Sadly cards used to run games from recent times are usually pretty big and wouldn't fit. More problems are your power supply only being 220 watts, and that your system uses PCI express x16 and not PCI 2.0 express x16 the few cards that could fit within your system probably wouldn't be able to run recent games.
but if you are still decided on sticking with your case i suggest this card

im 16 i like heavy metal unlike most teenagers my age who like dirty techno and hip-hop. what happened to the skill of playing a guitar. how did a solo turn into a computer making music for you are artists just lazy. music takes no skill anymore before you needed to know how to play instruments but nowadays anyone can do it as long as you have a computer and a half decent voice.What happened to good music?

How can a 15 year old be forced to go to school?
My brother is 15 years old and has been absent from school 17 times in the past 3 months. He stays up all night playing games online and in the mornings stays in bed. I've been told he's still awake playing games at 3 am and my mother and father both yell at him from 7:30 to about 9 am trying to get him to leave. He just stays in the house all day until the evenings when he logs back onto his computer.
My mom threatens to put his computer in storage but she and my dad never get their act together and DO it. Wait, no, they did it once but then they gave it back. Anyway, recently they tried to block his access to the internet. They even called up the ISP, but my brother's computer is the only one directly connected to the router so blocking it by changing the WEP password didn't work.
He is a big kid, he's looked like he's in his 20s since he was 13 and he's very tall and weighs about 180 or 190 lbs, so there's no way to physically force him out. My mother keeps ranting about calling the police or social services, and asking if there's some way somebody could come to our house to get him out or if there is some kind of program that can help. ... if your concerned about him talk to the school psychologist... if you call a truancy officer he could easily get into trouble.... possibly put in a lock up school or something...

I believe you will find a lot of support in your community for acting in his best interests, also, since showing such visible support (and respect) for others seems to be so rare nowadays.
I hope you can both get legal support to help him, and that in the process, he is able to find whatever skills he needs to get out of his rut and back in the groove.

How fast should my internet be to play call of duty on xbox live?
Hi, I have dsl with at%26amp;t and I have the fastest internet package which boasts at 6mbps, and when I use only 1 computer and run a speed test on speedtest.net it averages at about 5.3mbps, but when I use more computers and use more bandwidth it drops to about 3 to 4mbps. All of that is expected and i'm fine with it, because my computers run relatively well, like for example if I watch a video on youtube it doesn't have to stop and buffer every 2 seconds like it use to with my slower internet package. But the problem is whenever I play call of duty on xbox live it lags atrociously like it used to with my slower internet. I tried everything like plugging it straight into the modem (I have a 2wire 2701hg-b modem router combo thingy if that helps) I've even tried that port forwarding thing and still no change. Is the problem that my internet is still to slow, or should about 5mbps be good enough to play without so much lag, or is the problem my modem? Someone please help because I upgraded my internet to play xbox live without so much lag in the first place, so i'm currently wasting my money. Ok so, I am only 12 years old. (Yep) and im a bad kid. I mean like i curse to my Friends, I know stuff the average 12 year old shouldn't. My father was a big cheat and is very mean and i think i got stuff from him. My mom is good, But i haven't lived with her in 5 years and Now i am. So.. On my cell phone, There is A lot of bad stuff. Remember that everyone has the capacity for both 'good' and 'bad' within them. No one is perfect, so don't expect perfection of yourself, either. Just do your best. For the record, talking about sex, drugs, other issues in life is NOT bad. If she freaks out, you can point out that ';Ok, so you're freaking out.... don't you see that instead of trying to find out about (whatever) on the street, I'm coming to you instead?'; Tell her also of your regret for poor choices that you've made and of your desire to make better ones.
Everyone has to make their own road in this life, and the journey of a thousand miles must always start with that first step.

So I want to develop a few of my pictures taken by a digital camera.
I have deleted the pictures from my camera, but the files are on my computer, still.

Look in device manager..
You might need to be logged on as an administrator in order to do this.
Open Device Manager, click Start, and then click Control Panel. Double-click System. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
See if there's a warning triangle next to your sound driver. If that's the case, try rolling back/updating the driver. If that fails or you don't have one to roll back - look on the manufacturer's site for the correct drivers for your OS/sound card, or use one of these generic ones.

See if there's a warning triangle next to your sound driver. If that's the case, try rolling back/updating the driver. If that fails or you don't have one to roll back - look on the manufacturer's site for the correct drivers for your OS/sound card, or use one of these generic ones.

Okay I totally get that y'all aren't kids and all that, but you're both way too young to be dealing with things of that nature. You need an adult. The first thing I thought of when I read this is how you would feel if she really hurt herself. Bless her heart. She just needs you to be there for her whenever you can. Go beyond what she needs to be there. When you leave it's absolutely going to tear her apart because you're all she has, but you could help her make arrangements. There are plenty of other places she could go. I'm sure she doesn't want to go to most of them, but if it helps her depression and cutting then she should try it. Cutting is serious. Selina_5 is right it is possible but you don't necessarily need a card reader to do it.
Connect the camera to the computer with a USB - micro/mini USB cable go to your driver menu (if you're using windows it will be the icon that looks like a computer) and see if you can find the camera. It will be an external driver that has the name of the camera.
Look to see where all the other photos are and put the photo in there.

The easiest and best method to transfer photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are very cheap these days and widely available).
Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card.
Plug the reader into a USB port and insert the memory card.

But it can come in handy if you just want to transfer a few photos onto the card so you can get them printed.
P.S. You get film developed, not digital files. Those ones get PRINTED.
I'm not sure if you can put your pictures back onto your memory card from your computer. But you can put the files onto a blank CD and most of the machines where you get photos developed have a slot for the CD. (you know the machine where you can put your memory card in and choose what pictures you want developed?)

Selina_5 is right it is possible but you don't necessarily need a card reader to do it.
Connect the camera to the computer with a USB - micro/mini USB cable go to your driver menu (if you're using windows it will be the icon that looks like a computer) and see if you can find the camera. It will be an external driver that has the name of the camera.
Look to see where all the other photos are and put the photo in there.

The easiest and best method to transfer photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are very cheap these days and widely available).
Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card.

So yes, you can move photos onto the card, but don't expect to view them on your camera. The downloading itself (and even more so any changes you might have made to the file) changes something in the file. As a result, many cameras no longer recognize it. Besides, memory cards aren't meant for permanent storage, and there are MANY better ways to display photos than on your tiny screen.
But it can come in handy if you just want to transfer a few photos onto the card so you can get them printed.
P.S. You get film developed, not digital files. Those ones get PRINTED.
I'm not sure if you can put your pictures back onto your memory card from your computer. But you can put the files onto a blank CD and most of the machines where you get photos developed have a slot for the CD. (you know the machine where you can put your memory card in and choose what pictures you want developed?)

I know how to download youtube vids to my computer. I have this programme where I can convert them to MP3, MP4 and loads more.. would I be able to put them onto a blank DVD disk?
