There is an anti-malware 2010 threat on my computer - how to remove it?

Its soo annoying. It has pop-ups constantly telling me I have a virus and infections and that I should buy some software to remove it even though my trusted anti-virus software Virgin says there's nothing wrong. How do I get rid of this scam from my computer?

Also, it only comes on in one of the users on my comp.There is an anti-malware 2010 threat on my computer - how to remove it?
use malwarebytes update it then run a quick scanThere is an anti-malware 2010 threat on my computer - how to remove it?
download superantispyware and malware bytes, update both and start your pc in safe mode with networking, run both on full individual scans, reboot back normally and theyshould be gone

Delete that user before it spreads. However, once your pc is infected it艣 usually too late.
When you get this virus it corrupts the system files so you can not even boost it up through ';safe mode.';

sorry to say but the only way to get rid of that particular virus is to take it to a tech store like ';geek squad'; at Best buy stores, or some place like that. I just had it and I know a lot about computers and i tried a system restore, finding it myself, using a back up hard drive, booting it up in safe mode,...ect. and NOTHING worked except just taking it to a computer store.

good luck that virus sucks.

ps. try to start and/or run your computer as little as possible to prevent further damage from it.

First of all make sure you have an antivirus like AVG from http://free.avg.com or anything similar, preferably run it once in Safe Mode just to make sure.

Try to install and scan with Spybot S%26amp;D or Malwarebytes Anti-malware to remove any malware pests. Both have an IP blocker option and real-time protection (free in Spybot, available only in the full version of Malwarebytes), which is good at preventing the problem before it happens. I for one use full MBAM (someone here answered another question recommending Malwarebytes coupon codes shared by other users on http://news.dtcdeals.com/malwarebytes-co鈥?/a> to save on the purchase) I prefer it since it has a scheduler to run scans and upgrades by itself.

This should help to sort things out for you but if not, you'll need to go for a fresh install and restore from back up so good luck! :)
I will tell u whatever I used for my system cleaning.

Download Scanspyware from http://www.scanspyware.net/download.htm

Scan your system and delete if it finds anything.

For future safety of your system install any good firewall ( i am using Comodo http://comodo.com)

and a good antimalware software like AVG or scanspyware
