I tried the hidden folders, but the folders just kinda became faded but they were still visible and accessable. Any tricks? How can I make some files on my computer not visible to whoever is accessing it?
this is because you have ';show hidden folders'; checked on your system...
need more info.
who do you think is accessing them?
what OS?
are you sharing some?
etc.How can I make some files on my computer not visible to whoever is accessing it?
put a password on the folders you don't want people to see
Put the folder somewhere deep in your program files. It would take them ages to look through every folder.
Go to 'C:\Program Files' and choose a folder within a folder.
Your hidden folder trick is perfect for this, just remember to change it back to not show them and when you wanna go in it again just change it again, works perfectly =D
Encryption
try making a folder and put everything in there and right click the folder and click Properties on Attributes check hidden.
just remember the name of the folder so when you search it, you can find it.
Right click on the file or folder and choose Properties.
Under the ';General'; tab, you will see ';Attributes'; and ';Read-only'; and ';Hidden';.
Check the box next to ';Hidden'; and the file or folder will be hidden from sight
(unless you have the setting for ';Show Hidden Files....'; checked in the Folder
Options.
Open a window and at the top, under ';Tools'; choose ';Folder Options';.
Under the ';View'; tab, choose ';Hidden files and folders'; and check the ';Do not
show hidden files and folders'; option.
There is a program called ';Attribute Changer'; here:

';Attribute Changer'; can make the folder or file a ';System'; folder or file.
System folders and files are by default, hidden even further than ordinary hidden
files.
If you really want to hide things from people, use and Encrypted Virtual Folder
or Drive.
